Hi all,

I have been looking to buy a new heat press for a while now and came across a George Knight Swing away heat press 16" x 20" on ebay.

I made an offer and won it.

Please can I have your thoughts on this. I hope I haven't made a mistake

It can viewed here

i think this is the same press as in most of CONDE videos on youtube? if it is i resume its a serious bit of kit that last you a lifetime. But I'm not a expert with presses so let others to judge it. But make is spot on. I know that as i can judge by the price :D

I got a used DK20s off ebay and paid £700 for it and love it and just do sublimation at the moment but have been speaking to TMT about wow etc and they say you can't use George Knight presses as the temperature fluctuates and isn't static but then said they had another customer who has the same press and they managed to get good results by just upping the temp so will be testing this before looking to buy an Oki white toner printer.

Sounds like sales talk to me! I can understand that the temperature on most of the cheap chinese presses fluctuates, but I would've thought a good one like a GK should be fairly stable, temperature wise. I suppose they can only guarantee the product with presses that they've tested though.

Like a lot of brands now, GK have cheaper models and proper presses, the one you got is definitely one of their proper models, and I'd be surprised if it had temp problems
