Nasty experience ... worth noting
Re: Nasty experience ... worth noting
Busy weekend? Well we certainly had one!
I placed my first order with Listawood on 5 May. After seeing them at a trade show (Sign & Digital) I wanted to try out their 11oz (2000 wash) Duraglaze mugs. I was looking forward to it until I opened the boxes today and found they had sent me ALL 10oz mugs instead of the 11oz mugs that I ordered.
All the mugs we sell everywhere are photographed and sold as 11oz mugs. I had over 160 orders to fill today including 17 where customers had paid for an express service.
My very busy weekend turned into a very expensive one, refund-wise. That will be my first and last order with Listawood.
Yes they have organised replacement and pickup but it stings.

sorry to hear that.
But if you have 160 orders surely you should have quite descent buffer stock?
Also every one make mistakes
remember this when you send wrong mug to your customers
Listawood is one of the best suppliers I ever deal with so i wouldn't just give up on them.

Pain in the neck yes, worth a stroppy call at Kris perhaps (he is a big boy and can take it
), but to berate them on here is a tad extreme.
What I do not understand is why are you relying on an item from a new supplier to complete your orders? In my opinion that is sublimation suicide. Everyone on here has preferred suppliers which is not just based on price but how well the item prints on their set up (inks, mug press and paper). Surely you did not order the boxes and plough in....
Lastly, you need to rewrite your terms and conditions as express services on other sites will say "where possible", so you may have had to give them a refund for the express part, but not the entire amount... just saying

If your stocks were that low, as no doubt you were running them down before placing an order with a new supplier, i can understand that, but you placed the order on the 5th May, so presumably these mugs had been in your shop/warehouse for a while, and not checked upon delivery? due to the nature of the items, we always check upon delivery for breakages as much as anything else. several companies within an hours drive for you - yes would have been a pita, but you need to know where your back up suppliers are for just such instances, also worth putting a shout out on here if you ever get stuck for something, members on here if near you will always (as far as i have found) go out of their way to help - loan/purchase of stock to get other members out of trouble.
All companies make mistakes from time to time, its how they work with you to get back from it that counts - I have driven and collected vinyl from a sales girls house before, after the wrong colour was sent and the delivery did not get to me until 4pm - I drove 30 mins to be at her house as she got in from work - to my mind she need not have done that, the company themselves are 50 mins away from me - but it was a compromise, I helped them to get out of a problem of their making, yes i could have stomped my feet demanded overnight before 9am delivery - but their courier collections had already been made - so I just got in my car.
I also know Listawood not as well as Social, but they are a bunch of good guys, on this occasion they have let you down.

Hi anniecov,
I agree with the others, I think you were at fault for leaving it too late, perhaps not checking your order correctly, and over a bank holiday weekend.
i am sure that if Listawood were at fault they will correct it as quickly as possible.

Re: Nasty experience ... worth noting
How was I to know that had mucked up my entire order by sending me the wrong product? No other supplier has sent me the wrong product for an entire order. One box wrong maybe, but not the whole damn lot. Unfair!
Before opening the boxes the documentation said it was the correct product.
Anyway, two weeks later I gave them another chance. I ordered another shipment as the 11oz mugs. The following afternoon (too late to order elsewhere) they called to say they had no stock. I asked for a refund and asked when they would finally collect the WRONG stock they had sent me last time.
They said DPD said there was nothing to collect. The truth? We use DPD and asked them every day if they had an order to collect Listawood's parcels. They were never asked for. I tripped over those damn boxes for 6 weeks.
I had to fight to get a refund for the order they could not supply. It took a month for them to issue a refund! They said they have no way of making items unavailable on their website if they have no stock. That makes their website totally useless.
They didn't even contact me when they was an issue with the refund/order they could not supply AT ALL. I had to threaten them with a cc charge back.
How does any of this make Listawood a good company to deal with? I've only placed two orders with them and they have totally f*cked up both of them.
If I could not supply a customer I would refund them immediately. I still have not seen the refund in my bank.

Re: Nasty experience ... worth noting
I think there is a lot of miscommunication and some misinformation going on here, whether or not this supplier has made an error, they are a reputable supplier and it is not in their interests to hold on to your money like you suggest, it is simply not their style. And as I have always said, I find it better to work with a supplier rather than give them a bashing on a public forum, but each to their own I suppose.

Wow!
Yes, I pay Royalties or have purchased a licence for designs that are not my own. Most designs are my own.
Why is everyone so angry?
I have not lied about my difficulties with this supplier. I can post screenshots of emails if you don't believe me.
I thought this was a forum where people could post their experiences with products and suppliers.
I was wrong, so shoot me!
