HI,
I've just tried a couple of WOW colour change mugs - one black and one red and on the black one, I can see that there is something printed on there if I look close enough. On the red one though, it is very obvious that there is printing on there - it is showing through without the hot liquid. Is this normal? It kind of defeats the object of the item.
Anyone got any thoughts on this?

TBH I've never even printed these, this being one of the main reasons. I always noticed close up that you could see the print. Maybe useful for particular designs or a one off gag but I don't personally get them.

Yes, I'm afraid these mugs do show design through. You need to really keep to one colour eg black artwork for black mug. Bit rubbish really.
Re: WOW mugs - printing showing through
As above, I looked into doing them and binned the idea before buying any for the reasons you mention.

You can find matt versions which have a solid thermo coating so nothing is seen. Not sure why this style is not the standard really.

Thanks all for your comments. I think it's a no go for me with these going forward.
