Embroidery on face masks
Re: Embroidery on face masks
I've been tasked with finding out if we can embroider on fabric face masks, we have two kinds: two layer poly/cotton blend masks, and one layer knit/jersey material masks. We have a Tajima TFMX-iiC1504 , and we have clamp hoops and magnetic hoops of various sizes. Do we need thinner thread/needles, or different hoops?

Re: Embroidery on face masks
Wouldn’t that clamp the layers together and put holes in the mask rendering the mask pointless?
Re: Embroidery on face masks
If you only did one layer and sewed the other layer together after being embroidered, only one side would have holes

Re: Embroidery on face masks
Lots of people are embroidering on them, as there are lots of face designs on the embroidery FB pages. Then of course the whole "do not make more holes than needed" Use coffee filters/dont use coffee filters. FB is full of links and ideas for them at the moment, yes you can embroider easily on them, and even make them in the hoop complete.
