...down here on the South West coast (Bournemouth/Poole) that....my bin lid flew open...And that was it!

It was sunny most of the morning and a little windy but here on a large industrial estate everyone kept working and gales were mostly less windy than anticipated and had much stronger wind before (no pun intended!).

I think those unelected Sage Forecasters that we haven't heard of for a few weeks now went to work for the MET office and as always "blew" things up out of proportion.

Certainly I read that there have been trees down and moderate destruction (I'm not crying and not drying my eyes for those not being able to see the Fugees tonight at the O2 Arena) but the worst gales in living memory? Hmmm

Any different in other parts of the country?
