Hi
Ive been using my Ricoh SG2100n sublimation printer (same as the SG400) for a couple of years now and for the last few months it really seems to be drinking a lot of yellow ink?
To give you an idea Ive bought 3 CMYK replacement ink packs and only ever needed to use all the yellows and 1 magenta out of the pack?
Also seems that the print head sometimes needs to be head cleaned as it can be patchy on a nozzle check, all of which obviously uses ink.
Ive been through about 3 waste Ink Collector units since Xmas?
I used to keep the printer on so it can maintain clean heads as I use it every day but started turning it off.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Alan

Re: Ricoh SG2100n (SG400) problem
Do your designs contain a lot of yellows, oranges, browns or greens, as opposed to reds, and blues?
I have Ricoh SG3110 printers and always had them turned on 24/7, however, now that I'm retired they are turned off and only used occasionally yet never get so blocked that just a single head clean can't fix.
