Re: The state of dye sub t shirt printing in 2024

I have always thought that dye sub clothing, such as t-shirts, required a white poly fabric. I remember back in the day that they introduced a poly square onto cotton t's to attract those that cant wear non coton clothing. (allergies etc).

Then I saw this video. This isnt about the presenter, the supplier or about the fact it's football gear, its about the message.

I didn't realise that you could print a dark image onto a dark substrate. I thought it had to be a white substrate.

Is the video for real when it comes to the actual printing or have things moved on in 2024 please?

The clothing in the video will probably all be 'Cut & Sew.' In other words, the entire design (including the main background colour) is sublimated onto plain white polyester, which is the cut-out to the required patterns and sewn to make a completed garment.
