Hi just pressed my 1st big order :)
well happy got an order for 20 uneek polo's

anyway i subbed them front and back
and i have found the buttons come off when the shirt is hot
if you leave it til it cools down they are ok

but the 1st one i pressed i got the wife to try it on to make sure the images were in the right place etc
and she went to open the buttons and all 3 popped off
as i was doing another i tried that one and yes they popped again
i was panicking at this point thinking nooooo
my 1st proper order, i'd bought in all these polo's and i'm wrecking them

but what i found was if i left the shirts to cool down properly the buttons were ok

so the poor lil wifey had to sew 6 buttons back on lol
at least it still looks ok and i haven't lost any money :)

no mistakes in 20 t's as well :)

I haven't done any sublimation shirts yet and i'm not putting a downer on this job - but, did you do a wash test first. I don't think these are 100% polyester and the print may wash badly due to the cotton content.

I'll have to get some sub t'shirts/polos in and have a go myself to see what's possible with a blended poly/cotton mix.

Note to self:-

Get an order for blouses to be sublimated & get nice young lady to try them on whilst still hot.

John, who cares if they don't wash well.........

what pad did you put under them? if its going on the breast, then i only ever have that part under the press - normally the polo is over to the far left of the press hanging out using the right of the buttons and the sleeve under the press.with the if im pressing the back the i only put the back of the shirt under by rolling it onto the press, leaving the front, out of the press. the buttons/zip of any garment should never go on the heatpress, with out a pad, and ideally never go under at all

I agree, best is not to have buttons etc pressed.. I change over my pad for a smaller one and use that to print polo's left breast.. :)
