[The Phoenix]

Hi - I'm Mal but go under the pseudonym of The Phoenix. I started my graphic life doing cut vinyl, added number plates and hard signs to the 'business', then an embroiderer, now dye sublimation. It is my aim to mark just about anything. With the introduction of new number plate legislation last November, that side of things has gone pretty dead. All plates are the same - "I am not a number; I am a free man", springs to mind. Embroidery has definitely been the most tricky enterprise to date. I am not a professional company, but do these things as a hobby. My original vinyl cutting, which started me off, was a means of chilling after an adrenaline fuelled shift in the factory, and helped me to relax.
