Re: FAO of ALL MEMBERS of the Forum ....

Post by AdamB »

So - it suddenly dawned on me, and I was wondering if I was the only one?

(don't worry - this isn't a flaming or agumentative post or anything I just wanted to grab everyone's attention with the post title).

The thing is, for a while now I have been reading posts from various members of this fine forum and it suddenly dawned on me earlier that I was reading posts from members in my head - with a vision of the person who wrote them, and a voice belonging to that person.

To explain, I love reading Paul's posts (and seriously Paul, there is no offence meant here) with his Polish twang - and earlier in reading one of his posts I found that I was trying to read it in my head with twang that sounded like a cross between braveheart (Mel Gibson film) and a character Arnold Schwarzenegger has played in one one of his blockbusters - I know, it's ridiculous!

Anyway, without going into too much detail and trying to offend anyone (which is not my intention honestly) - does anyone else do this?

I suppose it's like the opposite of listening to the radio where you hear a voice and visualise a person, with this - you read and get a feel of what they are saying and build up a picture - plus in my case a voice (which is very confusing with the other voices I hear in my head at times!).

AM I GOING MAD?

I don't think I imagine the voices that much but often build a picture in my head. I suppose certain things said you associate with people you have experienced through life and that tends to build a picture for me. Always wrong.

To me Steve - you are a dead ringer for Boris Becker!

Really Paul .................... that's a feat in itself mate - well done you.

And Paul (and everyone), this topic was only done in jest - not meant to be offensive (why have I repeated this twice? As we all say, it's hard it interpret and read between the lines when 'reading' without seeing facial expressions ................ of which I have an amused grin :-)
