Hi,
I currently sublimation print with a D120 epson. I was reading something that mentioned dye sub with a laser printer. Is this possible and if it is would it produce better images/ printed images?

The Magic Touch narket laser sublimation I think they use a Ricoh laser printer.
Neoflex Direct to Garment Printer, Brother BAS-463 3 Head Embroidery Machine, Gerber Edge FX & 1, Gerber GS15Plus Plotter, Ricoh GX-7000 GelsPrinter, Adkins BETA Major Pneumatic Press, Graphtec CE5000-60 & Craft Robo, HTP616 Twinhead Mug Press & 2 Halogen Ovens.

TMT market a laser printer (Oki C610) for their laser papers and the Ricoh inkjet for sublimation (as many suppliers do). Laser printers have heat involved in the printing process so this negates against using it for sublimation printing as we would use it (there must be no heat in the printing process).

Thanks, Just wondered as laser images tend to look better, so wondered if this would work. The heating process in the laser printing I guess would be a BIG issue!

Laser images an look better one some papers compared to inkjet, but compare a laser image on a mug to a sublimation image and there is a world of difference. The sublimation image looks bright and glossy whereas the laser transfer can look more matte and dull in comparison.

We sell Xpres paper for hard surfaces, e.g. mugs, tiles, metals etc and TruPix for hard surfaces and other items such as mouse mats, t-shirts etc. My personal preference is TruPix for all round good results.
