now i dont do embroidery, and as i have pointed out, his polo shirts also had a single colour back print - but some of the prices around at the moment leave me wondering why they are bothering

I guess that the set up is a large one and they have to keep the sales moving in. If you have a workforce you might as well use them. I am curious though and if anyone wants to enlighten me, how long would it take from putting the t shirt on the unit to taking it off completed on say a 100mm company name 13 letters in one colour.

if you have a big machine like i saw at the show the other month u can get 6 done at once in about 5 mins hence why they say up to 16 colours as all the colours are threaded in 1 go.
with mine i have to change the cotton each colour lol as i only have a small unit
to do most logo's it takes me 15-30 mins

i was just gobsmacked that they will include any logo up to 12cm circle, just how complex that might be for some designs, i guess you could argue that their stitch count will not be that great, and they will probably use in house digitising. i have asked my customer to get a quote based on the ones i have just done for him, and i will let you know how the price changes

many large embroidery companies just have a hooping charge,- sometimes as low as 60p - for any brest logo.
Ok - it has to be digitized, this can be outsourced for as low as £5 - maybe less ?
So really, - they are just selling garments with a small markup plus 60p (which they must still make a profit on, as it is almost impossible to have a breast logo that used 2p worth of thread)
It sucks !
I cannot, and will not compete!
My kids school uniforms cost less with the logo than I can buy the garments for, I know i am just a little fish, and don't have the privelege of knowing how cheap the big boys can source their inputs for.....
