Whilst having a quiet drink in a nice Inn a fine looking women walks in. Well dressed and with a figure that many a younger women would die for. By no means a teenager, and confident in her body language. My colleague says to her, and in a polite quiet manner, "Very nice legs", they were after all very intentionally on display. Her forced smile was one of pure contempt. Now my colleague being rather quick witted, and having taking umbrage at her atttitude follows it up with "What time do they open?". She promptly slapped him!

Whilst we were contemplating whether his actions had really warranted that response, the bar man says to my collegue "Give me your glass I'll top it up".

Now was his initial comment out of order? Did it warrant a sneer?
Did his second comment warrant a slap?

Thoughts?

My thoughts...
A woman should be able to dress as she wants, within reason.
First comment was pushing it. He should have kept his mouth shut and just smiled. Her smile of contempt, a natural reaction. His second comment was way out of order and she should have broken his nose.
Cant blame her. Respect.

agree 100% although the joke is old, why should a woman be treated like that - sometimes thoughts are best kept just that. just because she dressed nicely she was "intentionally displaying" as far as i know we still have the right to wear what we like in this country, it does not make the wearer "easy" no wonder some choose the burka while there are still men like your mate about.

my reply to him would have been one of my fav t'shirts "if your dick was as big as your mouth i might be interested"

See... now I wouldn't have taken offence at something like that.. but would have thought of something witty to say in return.. and that t-shirt quote would have been just fantastic !!

If only I had a decent pair of pins I would want to show them. Unfortunately I'm not that lucky to have anything to show off. I wouldn't have slapped him but would have hoped to have come up with a deserved response instead.
Loved Laura's quote!! Well done girl!

Interesting.
I said he deserved what he got, based on his second comment.
Now comes the sucker punch that floored me. He went over to her and her friends, apologized and walked away. Later in the evening the two of them were yapping away like long lost palls.
All ended happily, and I think he may have learned a lesson.

Brilliant reposte Mrs Maggot. I was brought up not to make personal comments to/about people. My thoughts are private and I tend to keep them that way.
