Interesting but they'll have to bring the initial cost down to compete with others already on the market.

If it can take Visa payments in a normal fashion unlike iZettle then we're in

I have been registered for the info on this one for ages.. as like Pisquee had heard about the others including iZettle having such a pa-lava with taking Visa card payments.. due to Visa and their security..

I am hoping that Paypal not only will be able over come this before release.. but also because of the name, more people are willing to use it :)

Edited to add.. it will be chip and pin which should therefore allow them to take Visa the same way as everything else :)

I was with iZettle before and have also registered my interest for this Paypal card reader but I am actually currently using Intuit Pay which is the company that owns Quickbooks and they sent me out a free chip and pin reader which connects to my ipad via bluetooth and has been very handy as I can now advertise with confidence that I accept all major cards. Its also the same percentage as izettle at 2.75%. I would have stuck with izettle but they wanted £60 for their new chip and pin reader!

Hope this helps someone.

I have been waiting for this for ages.. due to the fact it will be a chip and pin machine and the name, I am hoping more people will be trusting of it and also that because it doesn't require the extra Visa steps it will be more beneficial..

I just wonder what the initial payment will be hmmmm
