I'm at work so can't watch it but thought i'd post it to get some chat on the topic going.... I don't watch the show usually ...honest!

Assuming that there are (or will be) 3D printers that can print with a polymer basic plastic, that melts above 200 degrees, then one of these along with a vacuum heat press could result in some interesting new products...

3D printing is a desktop printer revolution. No need for inkjet to print your ideas, with 3D technology, you will be able to print your imagination without any limits. The only problem though is the cost; the printing machine alone would cost you thousands of bucks. No problem with the materials because there are suppliers like 3d2print that offers reasonable prices.

Honestly, the 3D printers price is droping like a stones, now they aré becoming cheaper and cheaper, and you can créate al most anything you want.

yes you aré right, some plástics can be melted above 200 C but it depends on the maker of the filaments, and the material (PLA, ABS, Nylon, PL, etc.). Cheers
