Re: Cameo Question...

Post by socialgiraffe »

Hi Guys

For those of you who have a Cameo, can you tell me if it will cut 5mm foam board?

I have a job that requires 28 letters cut which are about 140mm high. Normally I would cut them myself but if a Cameo can do it then I may as well buy one to do it.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I just extended my Cameo blade fully, to No10 and the blade protrudes at most 2mm.
My website is open: www.Linksrepairshop.co.uk

Using FlexiStarter 10 and a Liyu SC631e & a Silhouette Cameo cutter. 2x Ricoh SG3110dn printers and Adkins Auto Clam press. Using Sublijet-r from Sawgrass.

Have a word with Harry at Edward Mathias http://www.edwardmathias.com/

Even the specs for a pro cutter like the Graphtec FC show limits of 0.25. But it depends on the down force capability....I think.
Personally at 5mm I think you might be talking laser cutter rather than knife cutter.
