Just my 2 pence worth.......you'll find most on here will use 'quality' paper because of the more consistent results and because it is the quality of the end product that matters. In the main quality papers give quality results as long as the time/temp is consistent. With the 'cheapish' papers they are 'cheapish' for a reason.

Good quality sublimation paper is not expensive (per page, or per product), so it does seem a strange thing to try and cut corners on, when often the use of good or bad paper is the one thing that will either give you a usable end product or not.
I have seen the paper you talk about on Ebay, but never tried it to know if it's any good.
As you're using Photoshop, are you using Sawgrass' PowerDriver, or letting Photoshop handle colour management with a printer ICC profile, and printing direct to the Ricoh print driver?
