Children are bit bit like flatulence....you can just about put up with your own
Re: Installing Old Software on Windows 8.1
If running it as Admin in compatibility mode doesn't work (some programs just won't play) then you may need to dual boot your computer with the old OS, or get a cheap/old computer just for running that software - we have a laptop we keep on XP so we can keep our large format scanner running, as it's cheaper than buying a new scanner!

Anyone tried VirtualBox for running old software on new PC/Operating system?
Neoflex Direct to Garment Printer, Brother BAS-463 3 Head Embroidery Machine, Gerber Edge FX & 1, Gerber GS15Plus Plotter, Ricoh GX-7000 GelsPrinter, Adkins BETA Major Pneumatic Press, Graphtec CE5000-60 & Craft Robo, HTP616 Twinhead Mug Press & 2 Halogen Ovens.

Tried it when running an application that was only XP compatible, and couldnt dual boot as not all drivers were available for my system in XP.Stitch Up;109468 wrote:Anyone tried VirtualBox for running old software on new PC/Operating system?
It failed at every hurdle.
Same as Pisquee we ended up buying a second hand system of ebay to run XP and use that when required.
